This poster depicts important figures in Asian Pacific history. HAR GOBIND KHORANA, 1968 Nobel Laureate in Medicine, for his interpretation of the genetic code and its function in protein synthesis. SUSAN AHN became the first woman Gunnery Officer training US Naval pilots. Susan Ahn Cuddy eventually became a Lieutenant and went on to work for US Navy Intelligence, the Library of Congress and The National Security Agency in Washington D.C. DR. FENG SHAN single-handedly saved thousands of Austrian Jews during the Holocaust. JERRY YANG was a graduate student at Stanford, Yang and classmate, David Filo, created Yahoo! MAYA LIN, a Monumental Architect, designed the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. She also designed the Civil Rights Memorial in Montgomery, Alabama. DR. DAVID HO was Times Magazine Man of the Year in 1996 for being at the forefront of AIDS research for 26 years.
